Fall of Constantinople

The fall of Constantinople was quite interesting it was taken over by the Ottoman Empire. The war lasted From Friday, 6 April 1453 until Tuesday, 29 May 1453. The Fall of Constantinople marked the end of the Byzantine Empire. The Empire lasted over 1100 years. The Empire was a great wave that brought Christianity more into the world. After the Ottoman's defeated Constantinople they made it there own capital.The army defending Constantinople was relatively small; it totalled about 7,000 men, 2,000 of whom were foreigners.
