Rule -
1. Cut the ciphers at the right of the divisor, and as many figures from the right of the dividend.
2. Divide the raimining figures in the dividend by the remaining figures is the divisor.
3. Annex the figures cut off to the remainder, which gives the true remainder.

46. The value of the quotient depends on the relative values of the divisor and dividend. This may be changed by Multiplication and by Division, thus: 1st. The dividend may be multiplied, or the divisor dividend.
