Rubies

A Ruby has a reddish colors it is a gemstone. It becomes red because the way it gets compressed.  Its name comes from  the word ruber which means in Latin for red.  Rubies are considered one of the four precious gems: sapphire, the emerald, ruby, and the diamond.  Prices of rubies usually are by the color of it.  Ruby has been one of the world's most valued gemstone for thousands of years.  The color of rubies are shades of red. Ruby is the birthstone for July.  The reason why Rubies are red is because the chromium.  Some rubies are called star rubies because they have a star shape in them they are also very expensive.  Synthetic rubies were first produced in 1837.  Rubies are hard and tough so you might have to get the right tools to make something out of it.  Rubies were known as the "king of gem's".  In England, it was used for coronation rings and to this day enjoys popularity among royalty. Rubies are the traditional wedding anniversary gift for the 15th and 40th year. Rubies are easy to clean you can clean them with mild dish soap you can use a rag to whipe the dust of or even dirt. Ruby is a very rare gem if ruby shows no signs of heating it is very rare. Rubies are found most commonly in oval shapes finding then in different shapes may be difficult to find in sizes above one carat. Infact even diamonds were considered common. Rubies are well known as: passion, courage, emotion, and The gem of desire.
