Diamond

• Today I'll introduce you to diamonds!

Diamonds are very rare and precious the word comes from the Greek word adámas which means unbreakable. Diamonds are made out of carbon. People say that Diamond's are the most stable material  but they are not graphite is more stable. Diamonds are thought to have been first recognized and mined in India. 3,000 years but most likely 6,000 years. A diamond is like strong crystal made out of different things. They are one of the hardest natural material known.  It is made out of an allotrope of carbon, where the carbon is pressured.  Diamonds could be in different colors. sometimes blue, sometimes green and many more different colors  You could make homemade diamonds it's easy but can get quite dangerous, Diamonds look like this when they are not refined: Diamonds are mined in Africa, Australia, Asia, North America and South America. Only Europe and Antarctica do not mine diamonds, be careful so that no-one gives you a fake diamonds when you buy or trade. To check if they are real get a piece or glass out "a glass bottle for instance"  and see if it cuts through if it does that means it is probably a diamond. blue diamonds once belonging to the King of Spain, fetched over US$24 million at a Christie's auction. Blue diamonds are more rare then diamond's. To refine diamonds you need fire, most likely a flame thorougher or a microwave... it could use really anything that is hot to make a homemade diamonds.
