Royalties are money that is paid for the sale or of music, movies, games... . The amount of money you get depends on how good the item makes and what is your contract. Why I would rather get royalties that the money in cash is the money keeps on flowing and you will get the money mostly everyday. Let's a person writes a book, then the other person want to make a movie out of that book. Then the Book writer can say I want cash for it or royalties. lets say the filmmaker gives him $100k to let him make the movie. but if the movie is really good mostly everyone wants to see it the writer of the book would get probably more than $100k if he chose royalties. The best way off making money is music and inventions because everyone listens to music. And another way is making. You can also make royalties on your site by working on it. People going on your site, people buying things on your site, people click on the adds on your site... . You can also get royalties by making apps.
