Evolution

Papyrus the first paper of the world. The papyris plant looks like a long pice of grass withh little thin leaves on the top. The pyparis plant can grow up to 5 to 9 feet tall. The Papyrus plant was used for Egyptian paper. The Egyptians used papyrus paper for animal skins scrolls and for wall paper. papyrus paper has to be made very carefully. The papyrus stem has to be cut into thin layers of strips. second they have to be laid out right next to each other than you put a second layer on but horizontally. After you have the two layers you soak them in water for an hour until they stick. Third you take them out of the water and beat the this sheets together with either a stone or a block of wood. Fourth you put the beaten sheet out in the sun and let it dry. When the Egyptian had papyrus they no longer needed to write on slate or any other stone table. papyrus made things allot easier because all the Egyptians had to do is scroll the papyrus into a roll and store it in a cabinet. After 250 years past the papyrus was starting to get extinct in Egypt because they loved papyrus so much that they used so much up. Today pepole who live in neer swamps make 75 percent of their income on papyris. Still peaple put papyris to good use.
